Construction Volunteering at the CBIA School

Our energetic and adept Irish volunteer, Eoin was here in Nepal on 7th June, for the first time experiencing Construction Volunteering at the CBIA School. He is here in Nepal for six weeks. His first few days were for knowing about Nepali culture, Nepali language and sightseeing to different heritage sites like Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath stupa, Pashupatinath temple and Swyambunath stupa with our language trainer. He is now working in one of our projects, Career Building International School (CBIA).

His work

He is giving a new look to the primary block of CBIA.  He painted the walls of the classrooms and gave a stunning look. He also enjoyed kid’s activities at the school. He is also designing the building for the women’s center.

We really appreciate your dedication that helped us a lot in the construction of our projects.

Idea of volunteering

Eoin is a bachelor degree student of architecture. After his bachelors, he worked in cinema and Architecture firm in his home country. He wanted to volunteer, meet people and learn a little more about Architecture or construction. ‘‘I chose Nepal because it’s cheap and a good distance outside of my comfort zone” He said.

He is interested in designing, drawing, writing, and photography. Along his work, he is experiencing all new things in a new environment of Nepal which is really different from his home country.

We welcome all types of volunteer and provide suitable placement as far as possible. Feel free to share your ideas and skills.
