An orphanage founded by Everest Foundation, New Life Children’s home has been a home for many orphans since
2008. Now there are around 13 children where Krishna is one of them. Operation at the HDRC was life changing surgery for Krishna.

Opportunity for Krishna

Krishna, 18 years old boy is studying in grade 11. He was brought from another orphanage, OCRC to NLCH six years ago was born with incapacitating leg deformities. Sushma aama has been taking good care of him whole NLCH family. As we believe, opportunity knows everybody’s door likewise this time;
Krishna got a chance to have a surgery to straighten his limb. He had his surgery in one of the well known hospital, Hospital and Rehabilitation for Disable Children, Banepa, nearby Kathmandu.

This hospital is moving ahead with the successful history of being able to create appropriate interventions and environments for children with physical disability. The hospital is running in coordination with organization of different countries, focusing on creating an inclusive, compassionate and caring society, in which children with physical disability enjoy equal opportunities and optimum quality of life.

Life changing surgery for Krishna

Krishna underwent corrective surgery to straighten his limb and rehabilitation that enabled him to walk normally again. He underwent two major surgical interventions at the hospital and stayed there for over one week for recovery. On 4th of February he was discharged and need to rest for 42 days before he put the step on the earth. He underwent the same kind of treatment for the left leg 3 years ago. Now he is in the home with proper care of Sushma aama and we all are happy for him.
